Harpersville has some of the lowest water rates in the state. We are pleased that the citizens enjoy quality drinking water at such a reasonable cost. An annual report on the water system is published in the local papers. Your employees check the well, make taps and repairs, read meters, cut grass and other maintenance work.

As you may have noticed by now we have been experiencing very dry weather conditions. This causes a very big strain on our well system. We will now need every citizen in our town to help us by cutting back on their water use. You can do this by:
- Avoid filling swimming pools
- Limit watering lawns, flowers and gardens til late evenings for short periods of time and adjusting your sprinkler systems to run short periods
- Wash clothes by full loads avoid partial loads
- Wash vehicles at local car wash
- Do not allow children to play in sprinklers
- Avoid letting your faucets and showers run a long period of time and repair all leaks promptly
- Avoid the use of dishwashers
This is a very important matter.
